The car will constantly compute the voltage needs and adjust charging as necessary. Just driving along is not very taxing on power needs. Any time extra load is sensed, there will be an adjustment to compensate. I don't see that you should be concerned.
I use that same sponge. :) I got a BOGO deal when I bought it. Softest sponge ever. I mean, it is hard to remove a stubborn bug with it, LOL. I foam, sponge, rinse, dry with an Adams Air Canon.
Did you get a 3 horn chirp when you closed the trunk? Mine will give the chirp in this situation even though I have the chirp notification turned off if I leave the keys in the cabin. The trunk won't unlock with the latch, but the driver door unlocks (I locked the car with the fob and opened...
Odd. I jot all those things down for my spreadsheet at every fill-up on my 5V 3.0 TT. I run a continuous graph of gas mileage and all the "% life" items.
Locking is inhibited if the key is inside the cabin or in the trunk. Doors and trunk will open. If the cabin was previously locked and you opened the trunk and keys got closed in, the car unlocks. Those are my observations.
Cool to see a little more info about these special models and at least some rationalization and understanding of the additional cost (ex. hand sprayed). I thought the color choices on these were super slick.
The upside (even if they don't really check everything) is that they have to warranty it like they did (talking CPO, here). It might be an inconvenience because of that, but it will be taken care of.
