Condition |
Some customers, after having radio replacement or radio reprogramming, may report that the Rear-View Camera (RVC) guidance lines are not as bold as previously viewed, that they are faint, see-through, thinner, dim, or translucent; and they used to be more visible. A comparison between similar vehicle models may, or may not, show a difference in rear view camera guidance line appearance. Original design: |

Cause |
This may be caused by installing calibration files released in mid-2018 during radio replacement or reprogramming of the radio. The change to increase translucency was done to prevent the lines from obstructing objects in the field-of-view. |
Correction |
Do not attempt repairs. The thinner, lighter appearance of RVC guidance lines is operating to design intent. |
