What Don't I Know About Bronze Wheels?

I know some people just don't like the bronze look...but what the heck? How are there so many of these cars out there and NOBODY has bronze on bronze? Am I really the only person in the whole world that thinks it doesn't bring down the classy look of the car? Are there upkeep requirements that I'm not familiar with? Am I just an idiot? As soon as I saw the wheels in bronze, I knew I had to have them. The color of the car wasn't even decided yet, but I knew I was getting the bronze wheels/calipers.

Digging through the "pics" thread...I don't even think I saw anyone that had the bronze wheels. I have yet to see a single build like mine (Electric Blue, Black Interior, Bronze/Bronze, no CF). Part of me loves that, being unique is always a good thing IMO...but at the same time, holy goat brains! :) Would be nice to see SOME people with the bronze wheels. Maybe I'm just a weirdo...and my tastes don't mirror the normal Caddy crowd.

I somewhat agree. I haven't seen them in person, but I like the bronze with bronze. It looks pretty cool with the right exterior color. They have really grown on me over time.

Just MO, I always think of a late 80's/early 90's BBS on a BMW when it comes to bronze wheels. Specifically a mesh design. As a car detailer at that time, the nightmare's were life altering. They can look nice on a white car but I'm still in the black wheel camp personally. They match damn near anything you throw at it.

"Class of 3400"
When I ordered my 2016 Audi S4 6 speed manual, supercharged (sound familiar?) car, I got the Daytona Grey pearl which might be the best grey ever. I ordered it with 4-season tires and then bought a set of VMR wheels with Pilot Sport 4S tires in Sunken Treasure (the wheels not the tires:)) which is a dark bronze/black depending upon the light color. I loved the combination plus I had what the Audi folks call the "panda" interior. (Black / White). That may have been the best car I ever owned (until I get the 5bw) and maybe I was thinking about it when I optioned my 5BW.
Shadow Metallic, Gray/Black interior, Bronze wheels, Bronze calipers. I think the Bronze wheel will go well with the Shadow Metallic. The calipers might fade into the wheel color but I can live with that.

Ah very good feedback folks. Thanks. So basically, it's about exterior color. I saw them in person at my dealership and they really don't look nearly as bronze as they try to portray. They are subtle and I loved it. Really hope I like it as much as I thought I did then haha.

It's also true that Electric Blue is already a hot topic from what I've seen. Heard a couple of people flat out call it the most childish and ugly color they had ever seen lol. I mean, I'm not getting the car to make other people happy, but geesh, don't want people spitting on the car when they walk past it. And yea, I'd be lying if I said the BMW M3 baby blue didn't influence my decision for the color. I have loved that color ever since seeing it. I have weird taste...I think.

I have no problem with the color. It's the design that's just too busy for me.

I'm doing wave blue, bronze wheels and blue calipers. Logic was I'm paying 600 for caliper color, it better pop and the bronze seemed too muted.
Sorry to piss on the parade but if you chose blue calipers for the "pop" factor, you might want to reconsider. It may be different against the lighter bronze wheel compared to black but, the blue caliper against my black wheel is hard to see back there. Red is the only one that pops IMO.

This is why we need more PICTURES! Folks who have their cars have a responsibility to post at least 100 photos from all angles and distances so us lowly folks waiting have these various configurations to evaluate for our own personal edification. :D

Bronze all the way. Been doing bronze since my first set of aftermarket wheels on my first car, an Acura Integra, in 2001 lol. IMO they work on pretty much any color - orange maybe a little less, but not awful.

Personally I think black wheels (which I now have stock on my CTR) usually don't look good because they vanish unless you're up close.

If I could still option Dark Emerald Frost I would absolutely pick it, the natural two tone interior and bronze wheels + bronze calipers.

Unfortunately I don't like any of the other colours with the bronze wheels, however I do like the accent of the bronze calipers with Wave, satin steel and Infrared. I just think bronze wheels is a bit much unless its on Emerald Frost.

I currently have Infrared + bronze calipers as my build choice with the satin graphite wheels.

I ordered black and bronze and think it looks great! Can't wait to get mine in real life.

I have the dark wheels on my black 5BW. IF I were to get any sort of gold-ish wheel at this point, it would be the magical mystical non-existent lightweight magnesium wheel that we've seen pictures of but have yet to see produced.

I've only ever seen this talked about in articles but never saw pictures. Where can I find them?

I hate how the colors on the configurator are so vibrant compared to real life. here is how I built mine, I have seen wave blue w/ bronze wheels (red calipers) and the bronze and blue are both much more muted. hopefully I take delivery in the coming weeks and can post actual photos
