Hey there folks I'm new to this car forum thing but I'm happy to be here and meet all new people. I don't have a V atm due to (financial reasons) but it is certainly coming. My eyes are set on a 6MT CT4 BW. But to get closer to this goal im taking on a whole lotta side hustles and im here to pitch to you all. I make hats and I thought about slapping a V logo on it. Pricing is $35 each or $30 for 5 or more. Different colors and patches available (see pictures). If you buy one you're helping me get one step closer to my goal. Thanks a lot folks!

Few more colors available.

If interested please reach out to me at jose.rvr00@gmail.com

Welcome. Good idea with the hats. Have you considered something that would be a distinctive Blackwing design? Eagle with Blackwings and a Cadillac crest? Just brainstorming. I have no artistic talent but perhaps other bloggers do.
Good luck.

I had not given that much thought, but I'll definitely try to make that now. Thanks a lot for the feedback and thank you for your service sir.

Wow man that's awesome I bet you got quite the stories to tell. You were flying well before I was even born.

“Before I was born…”. I get that a lot. Had an MRI recently. Told the guy running the machine that I retired in 1998. He said “That was the year I was born”. I graduated from USAF pilot training in 1960. Gold bars. Silver wings. A lifetime ago.

Yeah man I was born in 2000 but I definitely don't feel like I belong in this generation. I usually find myself hanging out with people about 10 years older or more. Hell our oldest member of the group just turned 72 he also served but won't talk much about it. I wished I would've been born long ago in the good ole days as they call them.

Be careful what you wish for. I grew up in a pre computer age. Old joke, “I’m so old I had to watch TV by candlelight”.

I'm 25+ years younger than you . I was taught to fly Huey helicopters with a paper map ! We had to go to a gymnasium and spread out 6 VFR maps on the floor, tape them together and make what was called an Australian Fold. It was like an Origami puzzle, so that you could just keep folding over pages as you flew along and the map was still small enough to fit on your kneeboard. I wish I was able to keep it for posterity, but the Instructor Pilots would confiscate them at the end of the training. That way THEY always had a newer , updated map that they did not have to assemble. It would take hours to put one together. Now these younguns' fly with Ipads ! I miss the clowns, but not the circus !

I have always thought the Army Warrant Officer program was a good deal. I went through the AF Aviation Cadet program. 16 months to Gold Bars and silver wings. B-47–B-52 and Out in 1966 to the wonderful world of American Airlines. Lump sum retirement enough to get a 22 CT5 BW. No complaints.

Yeah I hear you but I honestly like the older days better before all the social media and everything took over. Im very nostalgic about stuff from the early 2000s even late 90s stuff. Funny cause like I stated I was born in 00.

My pleasure. My service was “a long time ago in a galaxy far away” (I flew the B-52). American Airlines was a better deal.(photo from 1988. Boeing 727)

Somewhere around the early 2000s i went to the B52 hangar on base to take some equipment to a coworker performing maintenance for a bomber that was in for overhaul. I was able to climb up on top of the aircraft and stood on the wing of the beast - i felt pretty small up there and imagined how many missions this bomber had flown as it had been in service since well before i was born. These days i work to source parts for the same aircraft along with many others. :pat

Beast is a good description. It was physically difficult to fly. In flight refueling was exhausting and the most physically and mentally difficult flying I ever did, in 50+ years of messing with airplanes. But it didn’t kill me and I’m happy about that.
