Has anyone trailered their Blackwing (Camaro SS / ZL1)? I am looking for photos and recommendations on how to tie down the vehicle - with the underbody being so low I am thinking of going with tire nets / straps. I can't believe I am saying that my 3rd Gen car seems easier.

- Cars that would be towed: 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE, ZL1 1LE and CT5 Blackwing with Carbon 1+2.

Any recommendations with photos are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I don't have any photos when I towed my 5BW or C8 to VIR & CMP but I used:
  • Tie down straps on the front wheels (like a tire net but without the expense of a tire net -- see attached example). You'll need to find tie down points on the side of the trailer or underneath. The trailer I rented had tie down points on the side.
  • Tie downs in a cross pattern with axle straps looped around the control arm in the rear.
Hope this helps!

Has anyone used tie downs that go through the wheel? Is there enough room to get a strap through or is the brake rotor too close to the wheel? I’m picking up a new to me 5BW this weekend with my trailer. I’ve got good quality Mac’s padded straps that won’t damage anything. Just hoping I can get the flat buckle through the wheel. I have tie down tracks in the trailer so I can put anchor points anywhere. I’m taking my adjustable wheel nets too just in case.

ZL1 Addons has these for the Camaro. But look to be sold out.

Go to tractor supply or somewhere like it, get the kids that go over the tire. Just make sure you have appropriate tie downs for them to hook to. Don't go through the wheel.
