Anyone know if there's a stick on to cover up the warning labels on the sun visors? I find those things to be so ugly. I've ordered them from FleaBay for the C8 but doesn't look like anyone (not even Savage) makes them for the CT5. If I can't find them to purchase, I might have to DIY something.

D Y I . I did .

Used them before on other vehicles but have not found any for the 5BW, either. I guess DIY may be the best route.

What did you use?

I was testing the stickiness of these labels last week, I almost think that ours could be removed using a method I've seen other people do where they use alcohol or acetone or something to soften them up. They seem much less stuck than on my F350.

I took them off in my Challenger without any issues. When I tried to pull them off (using a hair dryer) they looked like they were going to cause an issue and I stopped. I went to my local vinyl guy who makes decals and had some custom made Blackwing decals made and just put them over the visor stickers.

I just became the second owner of a 4BW two weeks ago and the first order of business was removing those obnoxious decals. I planned on making my first thread/post about it but you beat me to it.

I used a blow dryer on the face of the sticker and was able to peel it off. I didn’t want to push it with a heat gun but it may have done a better job. There was residual glue which I used a few rounds of liberal applications off Goof Off graffiti remover spray to remove. There remains a very slight shadow line where the sticker used to be which is hardly noticeable to anyone but me in the right lighting. I probably could have gotten it all the way off but the sun went down while I was working on it and I couldn’t see it well enough. I plan to revisit it.

The one mistake I made was trying to heat the glue side of the sticker as I was pulling rather than the face of the remaining sticker to be removed. I switched halfway through and it left much less residue when heating the face.

FYI there will be a lingering orange-chemical odor from the goof off for a few days afterward but it goes away.

One word of caution is don’t scrub hard enough to loosen the fabric. Let the goof off do the work at eating the glue and just “wipe” it off.

I tried isopropyl alcohol first on the glue and it wasn’t strong enough without some aggressive scrubbing.

The can of goof off I had was old from doing this on a car years ago but I think the product is still the same.

If anyone gives it a try and comes up with any other successful methods please share!

Good luck - way better than a fabric sticker cover!

I can certainly see the outline of where it was in your photos, not sure which is the lesser evil, that or a black sticker 😬

It showed up much more prominently in the photos. This is 1000% less bothersome than the sticker. I’ll take more photos once I clean it up more. You may have encouraged me to get to it today.

Thanks for the informative instructions! Even though there is minor residual still on the visor, I agree -- it looks 1000% better than the warning sticker. I'm gonna have to try your method with a heat gun bc I like the clean look over a covering sticker.

Did you remove the visor or just left it in place?

I did it in place

The color of the visor material plays a large part on if you can see an outline. My Challenger has a black interior and hides the ghost impression well. I could see that pulling it off in the CT5 was not going to please me and I stopped pulling on the corner.

I always keep my visitors folded upward on pretty much every car I have owned. I prefer the view better that way. Problem solved.
