V-Series Cadillac(s)?
CTS V ATS V
After searching extensively I can not find all season tires for a 2024 CT5 Blackwing. I need them for occasional driving in Chicago winters.
It occurs to me I have found all season tires for my 2011 CTS V, I guess I am old school because I like the looks of the proportions of this
combination better than on the Blackwing. Can anyone tell me why I cant buy another set of what I have on the CTS V.
The rear tire is about 1/2" lager in diameter using the one line comparison charts. Cadillac dealer says no problems doing this and MPH difference not that large.

One other thing I noticed in looking closely at the Blackwing tires is that the front tires are larger in diameter than the rears. This just looks off to me.

I saw that Cadillac was sending some of their press cars out to journalists with Sottozeros - they are more of a winter performance tire than all season. Could try pulling up some of the videos on YT and zoom in on the sidewalls to see if you can pull the sizes they spec'd and transpose that to A/S to see if anything is available. Some of my family members have been using Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4's with good success but they are definitely not a snow tire.

I have the OE tires from my 4BW sitting in the garage. Will probably leave the winter performance tires on until next spring and swap them out for the summer onlys. Don

For the Sottozeros the rears may or may not be in stock (discontinued, only what inventory already exists) but the fronts are no longer available.

They are already mixed (rears Porsche spec, front Mercedes spec) but with the fronts no longer available on tirerack if you can find them, they're totally fine. But unless you can also get the Sottozero fronts these are essentially no longer an option.

Unfortunately this means the choices for the 5BW are extremely limited in any size which comes close to OEM. Like. Very very very limited.

proxes-sport-as exists as a 295/30/19
Cooper tires used to have zeon-rs3-g1 but that too is discontinued

That looks like a solution
Thanks
Tire Rack shows they are available

Yes the OE rear 305s being slightly shorter than the fronts makes my OCD flare up, too!

With regard to all seasons, it looks like both the Michelin AS4 and the Continental DWS06 Plus are offered in 275/35/19 and 285/35/19. Those 285s will work fine on the 11" rear wheel and will be a fraction taller than the fronts.

I wanted all seasons because it rains alot where I am and I am daily driving my car. I run replica camaro ss 1le wheels with dsw 06 all seasons. Everything ran me under 2800.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's are probably one the best tires I've every used in the rain as long as temps are above 50. Can't event tell the roads are wet when driving normally.

Thanks for the info. and
I am glad I am not the only OCD out here.

Why not just buy a set of dedicated winter performance tires for the winter? You are doing yourself and your car a disservice by running all seasons, which won’t perform as well in the winter as a winter performance tire or as well as OEM in the summer. These are obviously high performance vehicles and tires are the most important part of getting everything out of the vehicle. Cost shouldn’t be an issue on a vehicle that costs this much.

I can understand where you are coming from but I am not interested in performance.
I dont want to have to change wheels and tires twice a year.

not interested in performance.
Might have purchased the wrong vehicle... 😂

That being said, it looks like the easiest route is to get some wheels that have more tire options. I had to do this on a previous vehicle to get from 21" performance rubber bands down to 20" dws06s.

You could be correct, but I usually purchase the right vehicle [what I like] but for the wrong reason.
This is the last of the good old American V8's.
I grew up with them and you can keep all the cars out there now
even the hi tech wonders but you can't beat the sound of a V8.
