Figured we should start a thread where everyone could post both their AutoX times and lap times from the roadcourse & autoX at spring mountain. I'd suggest using the following format since different cars should run different times and there is more than one track used:

Car: CT5 Manual
AutoX best time: 27.87
Roadcourse: North
Best Lap Time: 1:19.3

Car: CT4 Manual
AutoX best time: 30.2
Roadcourse: North
Best Lap Time: 1:27.4 (slowed by lap traffic)

My best lap was day 2, session 1, I caught up to the 5 in front of me and was touching my brakes to slow myself down as the 6-7 car gap was gone, was on his bumper. That had me ease off for the last 4 turns. I figure if I didn't let off, that was probably a 1:25.x or 126.x lap. The other two sessions of day two I was just too sick to push after going slower on my instructor follow laps and tapped out. Without being sick, I doubt I would have been much faster than a 1.:25 by the end of the day.

This was also my FIRST track experience. I had done 2 Autoxs in 2006 and 2010.

CT4M
AutoX: Don't remember, but I won.
Course: East Loop
Best Lap time: 1:20.6

Feb 16, 2023 - Not been on a track since 2013

Car: CT4-V BW A10
AutoX: 33.5
Road Course: East 1.5Mi
Best Lap: 1:21.6

My AutoX times where slow, but I had a blast. I was dropping seconds off each track session. Slowly working my confidence up and I know I was still being very cautious though 2 and into the bowl. I know I could have dropped a few more seconds if I had another session or two. Had a great time out there.

Great idea! I’d like to add one parameter, if possible.

Let’s include ambient temps. Those that run in July will have a hard time matching runs in November.

Feb 11, 2023 - first time ever on a track or doing autocross

Car: CT5-V BW Auto
AutoX: 28.03
Road course: North 1.5
Best lap: 1:20.6

you improved and did really well for a first timer

Car: CT5-V BW manual
AutoX: 33.2 secs
Road Course East
Best Lap time: 1.21.16
Date: April 12/13 good conditions but dusty track due to wind.
Had a bad stomach bug...kind of blew the AutoX but kept improving track time.

Last track session video below....I felt the tires were starting to go and I was kind of losing it...guy in front was auto and around 3 to 4 secs faster. I really had a tough time balancing the car on some of the turns and was getting on the throttle too early. I have another video where I hit 127 mph on the straightaway but it was not the fastest lap.

That's a really fast time...did you beat the instructor 's time?
That is a very fast lap. The hot laps that our instructors did were in the 1:15 range on east loop but they were not going all out. Fastest lap I could do on east loop was a 1:17 flat which is very slow compared to quickag.

That's a decent lap too...if that is slow then I was "super slow" 😁
