Paint question.

Is Argent Silver a tri coat paint? Would it hard to color match it with the rest of the car if the dealer was trying to rectify a original paint issue on my door pre delivery?

I don’t think it’s a tri color paint. However any lighter color metallics especially silvers are very difficult to match due to side tones being different between the factory flake and repainted panel. It can appear to match looking straight at it but walk to the left or right and can look totally off.

I had them correct paint issues left from the factory on the hood of my Blaze Orange hood. Was told it's a very difficult color but came out excellent.

Every time I've had occasion to get something painted I've been told it was very difficult to match. Every time it's come out perfect. Including a Harley CVO paint with no code provided. You just need to find a talented paint guy!
