Pad for right knee rest?

The hard trim strip at the top of the transmission tunnel is the only contact point for my right leg, and that's where I like to rest my leg on long trips. It gets uncomfortable quickly. Is there an aftermarket solution to better match the shape of the tunnel to a leg resting against it? (I searched and came up with nothing.)

Do what I do when I track my BW5, wear a knee pad on your right knee turned to the right. The Camaro offered an optional knee pad built into the console which was a good idea.

My problem is the opposite. When driving aggressively in the twisties I sit closer and my knee is under the dash so it doesn't touch the hard edge father back. On long trips I need to stretch out more so I sit farther back and the hard edge becomes a problem.

Knee pad is a great idea that hadn't occurred to me. I will look for one that attaches easily and fits properly sideways. It would be simpler than finding and trimming a piece of foam, then getting an upholstery shop to cover it and attach velcro, which was my original plan. And not too much inconvenience because I stop at roughly 2 hour intervals on long trips so it would go on and off only a few times a day.

Here's a trip I've been doing twice a year for many years: Drive 12 hours to the area with the best roads in Canada. Spend the next two days, 10 hours a day, driving those roads aggressively. Then drive home overnight, sleeping in the car at a rest area for an hour and on the ferry and get home at 9:00 AM the fourth day.

If young snots like you were even capable of a trip like that, you probably would put a higher priority on comfort.

But then, I'm not really old. Just 75.

In addition to our 4BW, we have a 2022 Kia Stinger GT1 twin turbo. Very nice though not as fast as the Blackwing.

In any event, go over to the Stinger forum and one of the businesses sells nice pads for the right knee. I have one for the Stinger and it does a very good job. Don

I’m 71, jerkoff. I’m including myself when I’m speaking about old farts.

Mook was referring to Bar and Al I believe and the old man fight in the OK corral with walkers. :)
