No Refresh for 2026 CT4-V Blackwing?

GMA says a lot of things it seems they are not much more than guesses at times. That is not a lot of units to amortize the cost of a refresh, so I think they might have guessed right on this one.

From a business perspective, I would guess that GM views the CT4 and CT5 as almost the same car. They are made on the same platform in the same factory on the same production line and I wouldn't be surprised if they shared more than a few parts.

There was only so much budget to refresh the line based on prior sales and anticipated upcoming sales. They chose to put those dollars in the CT5.

GM discontinued the Malibu last year. The only cars they have left are the Corvette and the CT4/5. I think it's clear that the CT4/5's days are numbered and they will not be replaced. My guess is that their last MY will either be 2027 or 2028 and at that point the blackwings and LT4 will be gone forever. We'll start to see the first "Electric V" models next year with the Lyric.

Overall, as a reminder, at the same time, as noted above.... you are, in any case, 100% correct. Meanwhile, it's worth noting, in case you forgot, that GMA is often, nevertheless, incorrect :ROFLMAO:

For what it's worth, I sold one of my Porsches to a GM designer in Detroit last year. I reached out before I bought my 2025 as I didn't want to buy the final year of an old design and and he told me that he was unaware of any teams in the GM design department that were working on a refresh for the CT4-V.

Considering how poorly CT4s are selling in general, we didn’t think they were gonna continue with a MY25. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets axed for MY26. Chance of a refresh is slim to none honestly.

Already confirmed that CT4 is coming back for MY26 with no changes.

GM being GM, I think you have to look at sales. I'm surprised it'll be back for 2026, but that might be it if sales are down. That being said, GM is a bit fickle

Sorry my bad, seems like believe them or not they seem pretty strong on their "source" for this article.
