2023 CT4-V Blackwing
Have used their oil additive in several cars with good results. What's the general opinion on Blackwing use??

If you want an oil high in molybdenum try Redline. In the 5BW I’m sticking to OEM spec.

Just curious. What do you quantify as ‘good results’?

OEM for me. The fact the GM revised the oil spec halfway through the LT1/4 production run verifies they saw something that needed to be addressed and did it.

Yeah, they saw intake valve coking Bigly and damaged failed cats very early on? Both of which would cost GM much money in warranty so they had to the next cheapest thing? Change the oil spec....

As to my "good results" I saw a measurable increase in gas mileage and and not-so-measurable smoothness improvement in moderate acceleration.
I'm not intending to use their oil, as it is not listed as licensed Dexos, just the additive in my 4BW. Redline, as mentioned above, is not on the Dexos licensed list, nor is Amsoil. I'm fine with the choices that are listed!
