Hey all, have been looking to buy a CT5V-Blackwing for some time now. With the new facelift and rumors circulating that it will be the final model year, I have decided to launch the scepter and buy one. Now the problem is that I am based in the Bay Area and the dealers I have spoken to, are somewhat new and haven’t been able to get me an order in. I am hoping to find someone in the US that knows what they’re doing and will be able to deliver a spec-ed Blackwing. Thanks!

Sewell Cadillac usually gets allocations but they are in Texas. I'm not sure if there is a similar dealer in SoCal. I don't think this is the final year for the 5BW since they just did a minor facelift and interior revision. The 4BW's days may be numbered.

Have you worked with them before? Do they know what they’re doing? Sorry to ask but you would be surprised by the customer service at some of the places I visited.

Briefly when I couldn't get an allocation (4BW) up here in OH. They were pretty responsive but I was able to get an allocation and place an order right after I talked to Sewell. I think a lot of people in this forum have had positive outcomes with them. They charge MSRP and I think they drop their $1500 "protection" package for orders.

Searching the subject will yield probably hundreds, dare I say thousand, comments related to Sewell. Good luck finding one that is negative. Welcome to the rodeo.

Here is my two cents. Sewell is a respected dealership to here in Texas. I have not personally dealt with them but I know people that have spoken highly of them. Take that for what it's worth.

Top Notch! That’s the impression I experienced once I closed my deal on a 22’4BW and I don’t live in the great state of TX. From a customer service standpoint, they’ve been awarded Cadillac’s coveted Master Dealer award countless times is my understanding.

Hands down I would go with Sewell. I flew from Indiana to pick up my 24 4BW through them. Process was seamless.

I live in Reno, talked to some of the dealerships around the bay area and NORCAL, they suck.

Talked to Sewell and not only do they NOT mark up the crap our of the price, but they actually know the cars and the market. Was gonna buy from them when I found the one I was looking for else where but they were great to deal with and had no problems helping me ship the car back.

Did you try South San Francisco? I have never dealt with them but I heard good things.

I have a printout of every 2022 CT5-V Blackwing that was built (probably 97% of them) and Sewell "by far" had the most sold Blackwings. They seem to be the go-to dealerships to get a BW if you really want one.

I am also in the bay area and waited at the first slot on the list with a local dealer for months without a build. I now have an allocation with a December build week through @1StunnaV at Sewell. Bay area dealers are terrible. I had to get my M3 from Socal.

Many of us bay area folks bought from south city in Colma for MSRP, but I gather ownership/management has changed and things are different. Too bad, they were starting to move a lot of metal.

I have bought 2 BW from Sewell, formerly known as Ken Batchelor but owned in the Sewell orbit for years. They have been totally honest, solved all issues, delivered what they said and are price honest. If you want the name of my salesman DM and I will send it along. Top notch, knows the cars intimately and has been to Spring Mountain, etc.

I also had a b* of time getting a BW in the Bay Area. They wouldn't even take an order. I lucked out and got mine from Tustin Cadillac. I HIGHLY recommend them. I bought a 2025 CT4V BW MT sight unseen at MSRP this past October. Did the deal over the phone and wired the money on a Wed afternoon. I flew down Friday morning and took the LONG drive home during commute hours, driving under 80 MPH...

Not super close to you, but Brotherton Cadillac in Renton WA is a great dealer. They do a ton of Blackwings and key people at that dealer have been involved/owned Vs and blackwings. I have nothing but good to say about them and my experience, Alex (sales guy) and Oscar (Sales Manager) are a great team when buying a blackwing. If you let them know Jack referred you it may help you since we're all part of the same car club.
From what I've been told the CT5 BWs should have some allocations coming early in Q1.

Apparently the Bay area dealers suck as much as the dealers in my area. Most of them wouldn't even talk to me about putting my name on a list for the BW. I found my car in stock in Michigan and bought it remotely @ MSRP and had it shipped. Even the additional cost of shipping was less than the dealer markup around here.
