Seems strange i would need new rear brakes this soon. Anyone else have this experience. Had a 2014 ATS where brakes lasted close to 100k before needing replacing. Have a 92 Vette with brakes lasting 50K plus.

No. i like my dealer but seems they recommend things too early-for eg. recommended new air filters-info center says only 50% depleted and i will replace them myself when the time comes. Replaced cabin filter myself-easypezy.Did you look at them?
Im confused…. Look at the brake pads. Take a picture and post here if you're unsure. No and i am a pretty gently driver. See my post above-i think the dealer is just overly aggressive on recommendations. Old school-don't your brakes "sing" when they need replacing anymore??
Mileage? My 22 4BW is at the dealer currently and I received a call yesterday informing me that I need new rotors and pads and all four corners. Something to the tune of $5000. I haven't seen them yet, but will definitely be taking a look. I'm not having great experiences with my dealership.
I was about to get smart ass on my fellow RA IMSA driver thinking it was in the thread title. Lo and behold, two different posters. Either way, expensive repair. I assume pads and rotors on all 4's.Mileage?
I expect this BS from a random lube and tire shop, but not a dealer. I'd tell them you want to see the tech do the measurements on the rotors and show you what the service manual says is an acceptable rotor thickness. This just seems like they're trying to upsell you into repairs you probably don't actually need.My 22 4BW is at the dealer currently and I received a call yesterday informing me that I need new rotors and pads and all four corners. Don’t blame the “American” car. Did you take the 90 seconds to inspect the pads/rotors yourself? Based on your post (and the OP) seems most likely that you’re just getting ripped off, replacing parts that don’t need replacement…. And that’s not the cars fault…Agree 100%
I did make some calls to other local dealerships. Wanted to check on the prices that they gave me for the brake jobs. They seemed a little high. Unfortunately, those prices were in line with the other shop Syed each of the front rotors are over $1100 each. The rear brake pads were 762 and the front ones were 803 I believe and $289 labor on each set. I guess I didn't even ask what the rear rotors cost. If they've gone bad with under 30,000 miles there's no Flippin way that I'm gonna place them with the same OEM garbage. I can understand if I was tracking a couple times a year, but I haven't been to a track with that car yet. If I do in fact, need them I won't be buying them the dealership. Can't wait to get my survey.
I had an M4 for a few years. BMWs are notorious for high service cost. One of the reasons I got rid of it put in three years I owned it never replaced anything to do with the brakes and the car had almost 40,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. The Cadillac has 15,000 less miles and is in need of over $5000 with a brake maintenance. American cars. Try and do the right thing by supporting US products. Taking one for the team and they don everything they can to screw you over. The V is an amazing car, with crazy potential but if i was
able to have a mulligan on my
