Checking Fuel Level?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but has anyone figured out how to check the fuel level withOUT having to turn on the engine?

Pressing the Start button to turn the vehicle on doesn't turn on the screen to allow me to see the Fuel Gauge.

I used to have the Cadillac App on my phone so I could check it that way. But since our vehicles (6MT) don't have remote start, I let the subscription lapse as I didn't have much use for it. (Still have it for the C8, tho.)

With the key present, hold the start button down for about 8 seconds to initiate service mode. Everything will be operational without the engine started.
