In addition to our -4 Blackwing, I have a 2022 Kia Stinger GT1 which, like the Blackwing, has a twin turbo setup. I really enjoy the car, max torque from 1300-4500 rpm. The three local KIA dealer's service managers all enthusiastically recommended catch cans and one of the 3 dealers installed one for me. After another 1000 miles, yesterday showed about a teaspoon of oil in one of the cans.
Can't wait for the Blackwings breakin period to finish and see what it can do.
So I figured the Blackwing might benefit from catch cans. Found a high performance tuning company specializing in CTV-4 Blackwings. Asked the owner. He said the Blackwing has an excellent PCV system and catch cans aren't helpful even on his most heavily modified 4V Blackwings.
When a shop tells you that you don't need something they could profit from suggests they have high ethical standards. Don
