Does this indicate a bad clutch or a bad sensor?

Reduced Performance Reduce Clutch Use

This is one of them tricky ones.. your pushing a lot of powa. Have you tried data logging, perhaps in 4th (I think that’s our 1:1 gear), log both engine rpm and the trans output shaft speed? What’s the delta? It would help narrow in on if the output sensor is toast, or if you're slipping at a certain RPM which would be seen when monitoring the delta between both engine rpm and output shaft rpm.

Also, I recall reading some issues with the Camaro groups with guys who were pushing some good power, having a similar issue when they got on it. I believe this was the TSB for it https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10180313-9999.pdf came down to a reluctor wheel slip due to a under torqued flange nut, replaced with a new nut/torqued and resolved the issue for many.

Either way, could be clutch slip with the power you're pushing but I’d start with a data logging in the 1:1 gear to confirm where/when/if slip is occurring and work back from there.

I played around with it this morning, the clutch is definitely slipping under load, time to replace. Going to go with an RPS triple disc.

That reminds me of a guy I knew that owns an Audi modding shop. He would tell me he would go to the track with his S4 on the weekend and that’s all it took to fry the clutch. But his shop, so he just had his guys work on it.

LF Audio let me know how that RPS clutch feels. This will be my next thing to go as well
