Want to get the feel for whether a custom order for a new 4BW would be an option for me and whether there is a better or worse time to place one. Are there dealers that are doing custom orders at less than MSRP or are there ever incentives available from Cadillac for such orders?

I just went through all this research as I ordered in August. Long story short, if you order you should expect MSRP, I managed to find moderate-large dealers willing to do MSRP with 0 down on order as long as you get a spec they can sell if you back out (so no yellow). If you're extremely lucky I imagine you can negotiate some dealer adds for free to get "under MSRP" but I wouldn't be optimistic about much else.

The cars do come with the current Cadillac incentives on 4BWs, which right now is $1k discount and $3.9% interest (36 month loan) if you finance through Cadillac Financial. Last Christmas it was a much better deal ($3k cash and 0.9% interest). I'm almost hoping my car gets delivered after 10/31 cause that's when there will be an incentives update, and interest rates have dropped since the last update.

If you look at this link you can find all the new 4BWs on the lots right now. You'd likely be able to negotiate under MSRP on most of them. I would have but my budget is below many of the cars on lots currently, I don't want a sunroof, and wanted a specific color (Deep Space Metallic).

Thanks. Great info. I am in the same boat. I want a limited palet of colors (bright), a manual, upgraded seats and a few other cosmetic options are a nice to have. Most of the cars on the lots are black or have MSRP way too high with equipment that has no value to me. At 3k off and 0.9% fianancing, I would deffientely order the car just the way I want it. The question is, would the car come it before the next round of incentives (if there are any) expire. My ideal brand new build is $71.5k.
The current 1k and 3.9% incentive appears to exclude the V.

I have a thread that I’ve been doing detailing my experience with ordering Here for your timing estimation. I ordered and August and my car got produced on Monday. I’m probably 5-8 weeks from seeing it.

Got you. So much for that plan with 6 month long wait times. Seems like I am following exact same trail you took on this.

For what it’s worth, I finally got to test drive the manual yesterday as the dealer I go to had one come in. Holy shit.

Last month or so of waiting is going to be killer.

My wait would be easy. I already own an ATSV and struggle justifying replacing it.
I imagine that it doesnt really matter which dealer to place an order with. The price is all the same regardless and 4BW allocations are not hard to come by.

Assuming MP is near Rosemont. You have access to a few good local dealers. Although looking at each of their inventories, not currently much to choose from. Your best bet is to talk to each of them and determine if any have allocations remaining. There are a few of us here that bought from Heritage in Lombard. I avoided Naperville like a plague. After purchasing a few cars from them in the past, they don't give two shits about your history with them. Heritage is the complete opposite.

Thanks. I was also aiming to go to Herritage as they are highest volume Cadillac dealer in the midwest.

+1 for Heritage. I bought mine off their lot and Joe gave me a good deal and was really easy to work with.

I also had a good experience with Erin P over at Patrick Cadillac in Schaumburg. I placed an order with her and she was great I was just too impatient to wait for the allocation.

If I were to get another BW they would be the first two people I contact. I tried contacting many others including out of state and those two were by far the best.

I tried Patrick multiple times in 2022-23 and never worked out…I don’t think they receive many blackwings at all. I ended up ordering a 2024 out of state with La Fontaine in Michigan. Great experience.

They get quite a few. That’s my dealer I go to and have since 2013. Lots of V’s and BWs go thru there but Heritage has a better reputation.

Grant who was their V salesman and top sales rep passed away in late 2022 maybe early 2023. He handled all the V/BW orders. Was a really cool guy. I’m glad I got to show him my 4BW before he passed as mine was the first one he’d gotten to see.

Erin is super nice. She’s newer as of a few years ago. I used her to order my mom’s car. Very sweet lady.
