Hey everybody!
New Blackwing owner. I had a 2009 V2, Raven, 6MT Sedan, then later a 2010 V2, Raven 6MT Sedan with Recaros. I was shopping Gen 5 Vipers and thinking, something kept telling me to think about it. I worked at Skip Barber Racing School when the Gen 5s came out and we were based out of Braselton at Road Atlanta. I could drive Porsche, Lotus, IS-Fs you name it and I always wanted to get back into my Vs. Then in thinking about the Viper, smaller than a 911, hotter, cramped, need to get the seat lowering kit (I'm 6'4"), if someone backs into the front hood, it's 25K to replace if you can find one. Anyway....started looking at Vs and then Blackwings.
Found this Blackwing in Long Island, NY early April. Flew up and bought it mid-April, drove it home to Atlanta, GA on a Friday/Saturday. It's a 2022 #Raven Black 6MT #62 with 4100 miles, so it's Collectors Series. It didn't come with the signed/framed picture/certificate but I have the Bring A Trailer advertisement from the last time it sold, so I have all the information to recreate it.....and it's coming along NICELY. I know it won't be official, and Cadillac won't make another one (I asked) so this is the best I'll be able to do.
Anyway, no sunroof, manual, carbon ceramic brakes (only mod is the owner painted them yellow and I kind of love it). Carbon packages 1 and 2 and it's basically a new car. I've already ordered Eibachs and the Corsa Cat-Back and 20" polished and stainless Signature SV310S with the exposed hardware in stainless and the Blackwing centercaps. I'll post more pics. This is all the upgrade it gets this year, 2026 will probably see a cam and a Maggy.
I'm in Atlanta, GA, looking to meet more BW owners too, excited to be back in another V. They're just time machines, the drive from NY to GA was just the easiest, most fun get to know a car I've ever had.
