New factory windshield replaced by dealer only lasted 5 months and water started again on my passenger floormat so once again back to the dealer it went for service at which point I am very frustrated that the issue can't be fixed and it got to a point where everytime i got into my car the first thing i do is look to see if i got water so now I questioned if it was even the windshield at all and could possibly be sunroof leaking down the window pillar behind the glove box and on to my floormat, after3 days of driving a rental I called my guy at the dealership and told him to get the 2024 Impact edition ready for delivery cuz I had enough with the other one so now sitting in my driveway is 2024 56-2031 leak free impact edition, Happy 20th anniversary V-Series, PEACE

Pictures please! 👀

I guess your leaky headache will be sold at auction to some unsuspecting buyer. I had a leak in my rear windshield of my brand-new 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The car sat on the dealer lot for over 9 months. No one wanted to buy it because it had every option and made the car expensive (for that time). I bought it as a 1987 leftover and they cut the price by $5000 to $13,000. I got a great deal. Within a week, I noticed the back floor well was wet. I took it back to the dealer and told them that they needed to remove the rear glass and re-install it. Nope. They just took of the chrome trim and put silicone around the glass and hid the mess under the trim. Leak was still there. I went back and told them a 2nd time what they needed to do. Nope. Silicone again. 3rd trip to the dealer , I told the service guy to his face what needed to be done. When I picked it up, the service guy told me how they needed to pull the glass and re-install it. WOW ! What a diagnosis genius !

Another reason not to get sunroof. The drains can get clogged up, the drains can leak or the drain tube can not be properly affixed. And they can rattle or whistle at speed. Don’t get sunroofs or the big giant open one either.

I bought a brand new 1985 Cutlass Supreme (this was back in the day when it was one of the better options out there) and it would stall, parts fell off and the paint was crap.

We (American cars) have come a long way.

As for the OP, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with the first car, I hope you are happy with the second one! Sometimes life is just too short to worry about crap like that, and you need to move on.

We do need pictures though. I'm curious what this "impact edition" is but I'm too lazy to look it up.

When I hear "impact edition" I picture this in my mind:

Doubt the drain lines are clogged already. Either there’s a crack on the tray or the line isn’t even connected.
