2025 CT5 Blackwing
After taking delivery of my 2025 CT5 Blackwing a couple of weeks ago I've noticed that at freeway speeds the vertical/look ahead or projection distance of my headlights is very poor. At 70ish miles an hour I'm lucky to have two lane hash marks visible in front of me. Even high beams don't project very far especially in comparison to anything else I drive. Anyone else experience this of have a way to correct it?

Someone else here linked this article which is directly about replacing your bulbs but gets into the general science and engineering. The TLDR of it is our naked eyes do a terrible job of judging and adjusting headlights. Leave it to the experts.

MY24 here also in the PNW. Same complaint especially in the rain. Unrelated, no rear window wiper is also a disappointment.

I'm planning on auxiliary lights. Light bar and pods. Haven't gotten around to the install yet.

Based on the OP's description, this sounds like an adjustment issue, not a headlight brightness issue.

On my 25, when I start the car I actually see the lighting "cone" move up and down - not sure what exactly that is as I'm always inside the car. When it's done after the startup sequence, I can see a normal distance down the road. I also feel I can see better than I could with the HID's on my Camaro.

I would take it to the dealer and have them check it out - perhaps the low beam LED's are not self adjusting correctly.

Confirmed from the owners manual - the 25's do have auto leveling. Get your dealer to fix it.

The ‘25 headlight leveling is pretty cool. Seems to have a lot of up and down range that you can notice quite a bit when getting on and off the throttle and brakes. Seems like they have more up/down range than other vehicles with adaptive lights that I’ve driven.

Thanks for posting this, I will add it to the (growing) list of things I will check and if needed, instruct my dealer to fix, when I pick up my '25...

Let us know how it gets addressed if you don't mind. Hope it's a painless fix.

Any former Evo drivers in the thread? My 2004 had headlight height adjustment with a few different positions all adjustable from the drivers seat.

I'd be interested in pics of that install. KC's on the roof?

Here’s the concept. I have the lights. No hurry to install w/ race season coming up.
