Has anyone had a chance to play around with the audio settings on the new system in the 2025s? Trying to figure out the optimal sound configuration. It seems odd to have to choose between “front” and “rear” focus and also have an adjustable surround feature. I’m not a huge fan of having the audio focused on the front of the vehicle and it feels like it’s lacking bass, but it sounds worse if switched to the rear of the vehicle. Adjusting the surround feature doesn’t seem to change much.

I always use Red Hot Chili Peppers - Behind the Sun to tune stereo systems I've built or set up.

My settings are:
  • Audio -> Sound
    • Equalizer -> +11 bass, +0 Midrange, +1 Treble, +5 Surround
      • I'll sometimes change it to +8 bass or lower for highly-produced hip hop.
    • Fade/Balance -> 4 clicks rearward
      • I think this is the secret sauce as it lets more bass come through
    • Sound Mode -> Normal
  • Settings > Apps > Audio
    • Adaptive Volume On
When I'm listening to a favorite song, I have the yellow volume bar just a few clicks past the V where it says Audio Volume. The volume needs to be up there or higher for balance to be great.

I go full surround then plus 3 on bass, midrange and only plus 1 on treble. Mine are really basic, but I’m really impressed with it. I’ve had some nice custom systems in the past also for reference.
