20” wheel/tire specs for 5BW?

20” wheels don’t seem to be popular around here. I’m curious about width and offset specs, and most importantly what tire sizes will work.

There’s a thread raging on the Gen Discussion forum about no quality all season tires being available for the OE 19s.

Since I’m considering the appearance upgrade of a 20”, I might as well see if I can also solve the all season tire issue at the same time?

Apex makes (and has verified) fitment of 20" wheels.

Their specs are:
20x10.5" ET15 F
20x11.5" ET42 R

Those are direct fit. No spacers or rings required. They mount 285/30-20 and 305/30-20 tires (same as 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE and ZL1).

Im running 20x10.5 +13, 20x12 +50 with 285/30R20 and 335/25R20 Continental Extreme Contact 2. Basically with the width, you can find Corvette Z06 spec tires that will fit (335 or 325s in the rear). You have options to go All Season or even Run Flats if you decide you dont want to worry about getting a flat.

Nice. Are you at stock ride height? I am thinking of a slight lowering.

Any rubbing?

Im lowered on Tapout Swift springs. Slight rubbing on the front fender on turns on the driver side fender for some reason. Just flattened the lip a little bit to clear.

Cool. Any photos of your car? Owner wheel and suspension mods seem to be rare on this car for some reason. Not a lot of photos out there!

Very sweet.

How is ride quality with those springs? Looks to be over an inch of lowering?
its not bad, Tapout springs arent that crazy higher than the stock spring rates. People just need to remember it takes a bit for them to settle. Ride will be rougher the first month or so, then they start feeling close to stock. Still firmer but I have my shock setting back to the middle. Had to go full soft during settling time.

Rennick's Swift Springs are in the upper threshold of the mag ride spring rates wise so they're stiffer. Cant remember what the Eibach Sportline spring rates were compared to those 2.

I really want some lowering springs but I already scrape all over the place. :(

Honestly, its not bad. End of the day, its still a full size sedan. Not a low to the ground sports car like a corvette. Maybe Im just so used to driving lowered cars that this thing doesnt even phase me.

Lets just say Ive had cars so low that I've scrapped freeway reflectors with my exhaust. :happyanim:
