2023 CT4 V Blackwing
Hi all! New to the Cadillac world! I did some research on Vnet prior to my purchase, so thanks for the great info!
Purchased a CPO’d ‘23 CT4 V BW Sebring Edition a couple of weeks ago with 830 miles on it.
Picked up the car today after full PPF and window tints. Maverick Noir Frost is badass
Love this thing!!

Nice. Welcome. 830 miles. It’s not even broken in. Enjoy your ride. My only suggestion is that acceleration be applied smoothly. If you “stomp down on it”, it will try to swap ends. (Don’t ask how I know)

I retired on May 14, 98 after 32 years with AA. Before that, 8 years in the AF. B-47 and B-52. Flew Capt. on 727, 757-767, DC-9, DC-10, MD—11. Best job in the Galaxy. I turned 86 2 weeks ago. Had a Beech 33 but sold it to another AA Capt 15 years ago. Don’t fly anymore. Everyone has to hang it up sooner or later. Enjoy it while you can. My current ride is a 22 CT5V BW. Nice little car. Search Google Earth for 54TA.

Wow, quite a career! Thank you for your service! Happy 86th, that CT5V BW will definitely keep you young.

Thanks. My TX tag is “0260N4S”. Zero to 60 in 4 Seconds. Did you check Google Earth for 54TA?

Congrats Raj214 - you got an awesome car and you will enjoy it. Let us know your thoughts as you drive and experience more.

Not to hijack this thread but AACaptRet - your comments on your fine (fantastic) career makes me think of my Father-in-Law who passed away just 1 year ago. He (early) retired from TWA around the time you did more or less after also flying fighter jets in Vietnam for the USAF. When I asked him if he missed flying for TWA he always responded "No - why would I miss flying a bus through the air" LOL. Anyway I know he loved it and the bennies. Even we (wife and I) used to fly standby for free (well near free) all the time back in the day.

Also just a few days ago I saw a guy who used to work for me for years and he told me about another guy we used to work with who is now 90 some years old (forgot exact age) and apparently he just gave up flying (and restoring) old planes 2 years ago. Knowing him I'm still imagining he wishes he was flying them still. He also flew in Vietnam BTW...though I worked around more bomber pilots like you when I was in DOD. (I retired nearly 10 years ago).

I have a good friend who retired from TWA. Barry Schiff. Writes fior the AOPA mag. My email is
georgepshanks@reagan,com.

It’s a 2800 foot airstrip, from which I flew my Beech 33. Official name “George P Shanks airport”. FAA designation 54TA. My home and hangars on the west side.

Wow, that’s awesome!! I always told myself I’d have a 6,000ft driveway one day…
