I want to be compensated for the lack of use and an extended warranty, at base line. I've made $5,000 in payments while my car was sitting in a dealership shop for a failure at the factory. $750 in points doesn't cut it...
If GM is not going to be reasonable, then they will be forced to buy it...
Rebuilt the transmission. There was damage to both the 2nd gear teeth and the synchro teeth, so they replaced the gears/synchros. Amazingly, the transmission does feel better than it ever did from new.
Today Cadillac offered me 75,000 ($750) in GM reward points for my trouble. Refused to work with me towards buyback/replacement, or at least a reasonable compensation for the 105 days my vehicle was in the shop. So now I have to get a lawyer involved. 🤬
Thought I'd give everyone an update: Got my car back today, 13 weeks since they received it in the shop. It's mechanically in great shape, and the transmission shifts like it's supposed to, finally. Unfortunately, they managed to scratch the back bumper in the meantime (they did promise to fix...
That's where mine came from. Almost 6 months waiting and I went to Dallas to pick it up. My Coastal Blue over Tan with Bronze wheels won't be sitting on a lot anywhere, so it will be back to the long wait again.
10 weeks my car has been torn apart now. This, after 3 weeks in their shop initially for diagnosis. Driver's side turbo was replaced and the transmission is finally going back together with a new second gear synchro. Cadillac is hinting they will buy my car back, but I waited so long to get it I...
On my 2024 they're replacing the turbo for that sound. Who knows if that's the source, but GM has instructed the dealer to start there. I'll let you know if it works if I ever get my car back.
I imagine one could live with it, as it doesn't seem to have any performance issues, but I don't want to. It's sad having such a nice car making such a ridiculous sound.
I wish I could report something different, but I'm at the mercy of GM who don't want to give authorization for a new trans yet. Maybe once he cracks the case they will change their minds, but it sounds like not before.
I shouldn't have to pay a second party to do the work that GM should have completed themselves on my $70k car. Our $30k Bronco Sport has perfect paint right from the factory. Not that it's higher quality paint, but at least it's laid down like Ford cares and has some minimal quality control in...
My 6 month old, 6,500 mile CT4-V Blackwing is now in the shop for multiple issues and I'm frustrated and I guess here to vent.
First issue is the 2nd gear notchiness. Mine has been persistently difficult to shift into 2nd when cold, but also when hot. Particularly after a long highway run when...
Mine is in the shop now for the 2nd gear notchiness issues. Mine has been persistently difficult to shift into 2nd when cold, but also when hot. Particularly after a long highway run when shifting down through the gears it doesn't want to go into 2nd. Dealership was talking to corporate...
Those of us who take ours to the track may benefit from side to side rotations. I know for a fact that my right side wears out faster than the left at Thunderhill West. 😉
Probably not a factor for Don...
@so 650 We're headed to the Bay this weekend and this event is on our list. What's the parking situation like (it looks to be a small lot) and what time should we plan to arrive?
Yep, great eye!
I got 2,600 miles on the car and had to see what it was made of. Track Night in America events are so perfect for a first outing. IMO it's a better car than my M2 Comp was, on and off track.
