So, I'm coming on my two-year anniversary with my car #26. I don't daily drive it and use it somewhat sparingly as I want to keep it for a very long time. But, this weekend I had a chance to head up to Tulsa to visit my brother and his family, so I grabbed the key to the Blackwing and headed...
Got an email after I’ve already tried twice unsuccessfully to get a badge. Maybe they are trying to get organized and try for real this time. Link goes to a form to submit your name, address, and VIN
I'll preface this with the statement that I am familiar with higher horsepower cars having owned a C6 ZR1 for 12 years now, the last two years modified to power levels significantly above my 5BW and I've tracked my cars for many years.
So, I've had my 5BW over 14 months now with about 7k miles...
So, I drove my '10 ZR1 around quite a bit this weekend and also drove my Escalade V. I don't mention it for any other reason than to say that when I slid behind the wheel of the 5BW and drove it quite a bit yesterday, it reminded me of how incredibly good this car is.
The integration of the...
See videos below. Why does the Escalade V shift so far below horsepower peak with 682hp at 6,000rpm? I was in full V mode and it's shifting significantly short of the roughly 6,200 indicated redline. So, except for maybe that last shift before hitting the electronic limiter it's shifting...
Pretty amazing machine. It's excessive and it's ridiculous and it's awesome fun. Definitely GM/Ford/Dodge, etc. going out with a literal bang with these crazy supercharged V8 cars before the full onslaught of electric toasters.
Engine is very strong obviously with 682hp rated (probably makes...
So, I'm loving the 5BW I got a few months back and I've been seriously considering a 4BW for my wife, but we have an almost 4yo boy and a 9 month old boy.
How is the back seat for toddler/baby seats? Is it too small? The 5BW works okay, but it's a very tight squeeze if my wife wants to sit...
So, we all love our Blackwings, but I had a quick question. On my CT5-V Blackwing, I'd like a little more blower whine audible inside the cabin. Hypothetically speaking, is there anything in the intake tract we could remove that might open up the intake volume a little bit? :D :D :D
Check out my video below. It shows the transition of the tachometer at 500 miles to allowing the normal, full 6,500rpm rev range.
Have I mentioned yet, I absolutely love this car?!?!?!
Watch this video to the end. I get a nice, clean 0-151mph run!
It’s worth the wait, guys! Can’t wait for 500 miles, but I can tell she wants to run.
Ride is sublime and feel rolling down the road is so confidence inspiring. Cadillac outdid themselves with this machine!!
