I am starting to think that it might be a caliper. With only 4,000 miles on the 7 month old car, I only hope warranty will cover this. My tow truck comes today and I think I will still have it towed. I had a Camry that I drove to the dealer and it had a stuck caliper and the service advisor...
I am starting a new thread in reference to my old thread. Basically, my car would not go forward or backwards. Transmission lights were working in all gears. I disconnected the negative battery terminal and after 1 hour started the car and the car broke lose as if the brakes were sticking...
I think I did that. Go to settings, go to vehicle, go to collision and turn off all of the tech nannies. Did it. The car still won't go. Cadillac dealer indicated it might need to be reprogrammed. I hate tech.
After putting the car in neutral, the car still won't move. I am wondering if the parking break is not releasing. In reverse, my rear tires want to move, so I am not sure this is a transmission issue. The parking break light is on and then I hit it, and the light goes off, but the car won't...
I would agree, however, I always drive it around the block after washing. When you drive it in the rain, wouldn't it do the same thing? I have not washed this car in a week or so.
I am thinking the same thing. This is a transmission used on a bunch of cars and has been available for years. I have never had this happen in any of my cars of various makes and models. When this happens, you are stuck. Fortunately this happened in my garage.
My 4 Blackwing won't engage in reverse or drive. The light comes on in reverse and in drive and as I push on the accelerator, the engine just revs. The parking brake is off and there is nothing in the back or front that would hinder the car from moving. Any ideas?
After seeing the new M2 on the street, I would consider replacing my Blackwing for it. I can understand why some people hate the new design. I love the new design. It won't steer as well, but the handling and acceleration are comparable. It won't be as reliable as the Blackwing and I believe...
My dealership misinformed me on multiple issues. They said the car has leather, it doesn't. They said the CT4-V Blackwing has runflat tires, it doesn't. They said the car did not come with a tire pump and inflator kit, it should have. After discussing these items, I did receive a tire kit...
Keep an eye on your son's oil level. The 1.5L Turbo has an oil dilution problem in which the oil level goes up since gas is mixing with the oil in higher than normal amounts. That said, change your oil every 3k miles on that engine.
