    2023 CADILLAC CT5-V BLACKWING PRICING

Glad I got a 2022. Mine was never fully loaded anyway. Price with options was nearly the new base price! Jeebus. Nice that the 2023s get semi-aniline with suede back. I would have totally done that if it was available.

    NPP or Variable Exhaust?

Cadillac made some press releases around the CT5 BW's variable exhaust. I'm struggling to find them though, googlefu is weak today. Similarly there are 4 levels. Default it's tied to the drive modes, but you can adjust the openness via My Mode or V Mode to your preference. Same names as your...

Is there a way to get a list of the best financing options?

Might be situational, but Alaska credit union has always treated me well. They've consistently come in 0.25% or better vs dealership quoted rates.

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

I'd be in on carbon fiber. Would we have the choice to have it come clearcoated? My primary concern with the fiberglass one is I simply don't want to deal with a bodyshop for finishing.

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

Hey Terrance, if you could keep this updated with general status (like whether you're still looking for people or not) it would be appreciated. Watching with great interest but not quite ready to commit just yet. Thanks a ton for everything you've done so far.

4BW to 5V for more interior room?

Careful, saying that the CT4 is small is a sign of being a privileged white person. I might still be a little bitter about this. But obviously if it doesn't work for you then it doesn't work and forcing it to work (probably) isn't worth it

    Cool Gray Seat Protection

I did a ton of interwebs research on the topic. What I found was... everything you could do is wrong and you're dumb for trying. What did seem semi-consistent is that because all automative leather is sealed from the factory, any leather protectants you use are not applied to the leather...

    CT5-V engine surge / "porpoising"

Gotcha, I thought that didn't actually resolve it, and you had to go back

    CT5-V engine surge / "porpoising"

Any idea what they did? I haven't managed to get a video of it yet, but I can mostly reproduce it. If I'm cruising along at 40 MPH in 4th gear with very light throttle right as the car is starting to come up to temperature, it will buck/surge pretty bad for like 10-15 seconds. If I give it a...

Not your Grandfather's Cadillac...or is it?

Not sure how much this poll is showing age of blackwing drivers or age of internet users In the < 40 club. Old enough to afford it young enough to enjoy it

    CT5-V Carbon Fiber woes

Exactly. I'd love a high quality CF spoiler such as from SavageCadillac but the one they have just looks dumb IMO. Stock is perfect.

    Wait times for normal orders

FWIW, i'm really not sure how much it will help. Just given that it seems so random in nature. At the dealership where I ordered, I was something like 5th in line but ended up receiving it 3rd. And I'm pretty sure I was the first non-preorder. Ordered June 1 2021 Delivered Nov 23 2021 175 days

    CT5 Tier 2 vs Tier 3 interior

Would be interesting to see one of the lighter color tier 3 interiors in person. I've got semi-aniline seats on my XT5 but they're black. Very difficult to make out much of anything in that. I'd have no idea they were semi-aniline if I didn't know they were. The CF back on the tier 3 was not...

    CT5 Tier 2 vs Tier 3 interior

Pretty sure Snowwolfe is talking about the same as you, the thin resin coating on the leather. At least until that coating wears off it makes the difference in how it was pigmented a little irrelevant?

Right, but this is with it OFF ;)

Questions, Nits, Acclaim, and Observations after 1,500 miles

A weird thing that I've only just noticed, and I haven't seen mentioned so far. Curious if others have seen this. In the 5BW with 6MT, when traveling at around 40 MPH or so. Rev match OFF. If I push the clutch in, put it in neutral, let the engine fall to idle, and then put the stick in 3rd or...

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

I'm done looking, got my 5BW back in November ;) I went via Bellevue. Seemed like the best bet to actually get an allocation. I probably should have put a deposit in at multiple locations to see who got it first, but I learned that trick too late. Agree on pricing up front in either case. To...

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

Cadillac of Bellevue and Brotherton Cadillac both have markups. Brotherton via straight up ADM, Bellevue via dealership package. I never checked with Larson, but I'd question how many allocations they'll get anyway.

    Driving Impressions

I "daily drive" (whatever that even means with remote work) my 5BW. Vs the Chevy SS it replaced, the SS was a better daily driver. That said, the 5BW is totally liveable. The one serious complaint I have about daily driving it is that the gas tank is too small. 17 gallons is tiny for something...

    Winter Wheels and Tires

I'm putting the PS4S tires back on today. I'd probably hold out to mid Feb or March with all seasons, but temps for the next 2 weeks are expected to be upper 40s/low 50s. We frequently get one more cold blast before March, but I'll just have to garage it if that happens. Ultimately, the...
