I have the equivalent of the track pack on mine. If I had gone full coverage it could have even been a cost savings in the long run. I got side swiped, and though paintless dent repair and buffing largely fix it. But PPF would have kept this simply at dent removal.
I've got 2 years on mine (well, in a couple of weeks)
Mid level Sky Cool Grey. Daily driver, about 1.5 hours of seat time per day. 13k miles.
Initially I was very worried about dye transfer. I used 303 leather complete care on it weekly (or at least every other week). I haven't cleaned the...
My CT5 is fine, but my Chevy Volt totally had the exact same problem. Just wasn't quite clipped in from the factory.
Like ukcats12 said, seems par for the course. There's so many different small attachment points/clips/etc... something somewhere is probably gonna get missed.
I did not get semi-analine as the carbon delete was not an option when I ordered, and CF seat backs were on constraint.
If the CF delete was available I would have done it without question.
That said... I'm perfectly happy with my midlevel interior as well. Quite frankly, I think the mid level...
CT5 not 4, but I have mine permanently set up 1.7 in front and 1.5 in rear. It's equally non optimal for both street and track 🙃
But it's my daily so I don't want to run street alignment the few days a year that I'm on track, nor do I want to have the harsh(er) ride or tire destroying track...
It records while driving, and also while parked if the alarm goes off.
It's true that the individual camera quality is quite low. But it's always there, watching, recording. I'd pull some examples if I were home, it's totally sufficient for 90% of dashcam needs.
If you have surround view (360 degree parking camera), the SD card in the truck allows it to operate as a full time dashcam. You don't need to do anything special, just insert the SD card.
Running 2/3 of The Terrance Package (signature wheels + spoiler, no splitter)
The wheels are noticeably lighter than OEM. I stuck with OEM fitment to ensure best possible clearances and TCP tires for the track. There's a lot more concavity than I expected, which looks awesome. Hard to totally...
The pad deposits / "resurfacing" makes a ton of sense and aligns with my (CT5) experience as well.
I had pad deposits that took nearly a month of street driving to clear. So far I have only had pad deposits following Buttonwillow on June 6. Not sure if it was because of the track layout, the...
I've been following this thread out of interest even though I've got a 5, but this is something I'm struggling to understand. Improved longevity and heat resistance I totally get.
But I have no problem hitting ABS with the stock pads at speed in the 5 so I'm genuinely curious if/how improving...
The dealer managed to do it both right and wrong on mine :)
They didn't install the rear ducts, they left them in the trunk (right!)
They didn't install the air deflectors, they left them in the trunk (wrong!)
Buy the parts yourself, then have the dealer install. You will get a better price than they will offer.
Maybe don't go to dealer at all. Brakes, fluids, these are all pretty basic maintenance items that any shop can take care of.
As I've learned, the general takeaway is - don't go to the...
I feel attacked 😂
That's me and my CT5 at 1:00 when Danial is talking about the 5. Pretty awesome that John gave him a go! And holy moly that time. 2:03 flat while taking it easy
Something about bug guts?
Wrapped, but first wash left a lot of "smearing" behind.
It's a bit hard to tell how filthy the wheels were too, but they shouldn't be that dark ;)
The brake dust at least changes the color consistently!
Back in my day, we had manual parking brakes to help us out!
This is the first manual I've had with hill hold. If anything, learning to trust it has been its own challenge. I've stalled my car twice now, both cases almost exclusively because I wasn't using hill hold. Some of the Seattle hills...
@Likuid that is exactly what I experiened and what I was referring to here CT5-V - Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers
No matter what I tried, I simply could not get the outside corners to adhere while only using the inside 4 studs. I considered taking mine off and redoing it but...
Hey man, it was good "going for a brisk drive" with you. Crappy way to end the day. Great to hear the replacement cost isn't too high even if they don't warranty it, there's much more expensive things that could have happened
