Well I'm getting back into the rodeo for a 2025 CT5-V Blackwing.
I'm not a big fan of the changes (I like the old front end and a regular gauge cluster) however I really like the new green colour and I would like to order a car without constraints so I can finally get exactly what I want.
I'm...
I may poke around my dealer again to see what the wait lists are like, I really like that new green revealed for 2025 and I could see myself getting back into a 5V Blackwing if I could finally order one without constraints.
I'd really like to do that new Typhoon metallic (green) with natural...
I wish I could find lease deals like that in Canada. Instead I subject my Camaro to the salt because the cheapest lease is a 25k Chevy Trax and it still costs over almost $400 before insurance.
If an Ioniq 6 was even $400 ( Canadian Conversation) I'd probably buy one myself.
I love it because of the LT6. I don't know if it will be a keeper because the long term reliability is always questionable on something like this. The DCT and the LT6 could be problematic long term to make it a forever car. I don't like the idea of getting caught with a 5 figure bill out of...
ZL1 because I can daily anything and its badass. On paper a 4BW makes more sense to daily but if a ZL1 is an option I'd take it everytime for commutes, costco runs etc.
I learned to drive manual on my brand new C7 Z06 nearly 5 years ago and have gone through multiple other high performance manual cars. I've never once had an issue or come close.
These are absolutely cars you can learn on. The gears so are tall in these cars that if you money shifted you...
This might matter on the autobahn but we don't get that here...
GM still tries to make its performance cars have some kind of fuel economy and I can say that putting the Blackwing in 6th still returns a good amount of torque that I never need to downshift on the highway unless I hit a traffic...
Old man yells at clouds.
Is it stupid that the salesman doesn't know a thing about the number on the steering wheel or ignoring break in procedure? Yes
Will someone still buy it and will it still have warranty? Yes
To be fair most technical work in any field is replacement of a module/board. Even in my line of work, troubleshooting is basically a code says replace X, Y and Z so you replace X and if that doesn't work you replace Y and then Z.
The only time you have to put your thinking cap on is if its...
Since you're in Ontario I would give Finch Chevrolet in London a call if you're interested in another.
I got my '23 5V Blackwing from them, it was built October '22 and delivered to me February '23. I got on the list in June of '21 and I was third. They seem to get an allocation every 7 months...
I was also a member of the GM club, I had a '19 C7 Z06 and my '23 5V Blackwing for just under a year. An opportunity for a C8 Z06 came up and I had to sell both to swing it but I did enjoy the two of them sitting in the driveway. I now have a '22 Camaro SS 1LE to keep the C8 Z06 company...
This would depend on the track ownership and if they allow electric cars.
Either way I doubt many people who own an electric performance sedan would track it, even if it is capable.
If a majority of tracks don't allow electric vehicles due to liability of lithium ion fires than any future...
Signing a contract just means they plan to continue offering courses for high performance Cadillac's. The ICE Blackwings days are numbered as long as GM will allow it. I believe new emission regulations come into effect in '26? GM might bite the bullet and just continue to offer them and get...
Yes, its all letters, I think 5 of them?
If your order was accepted that means you are at 2000 status moving quickly to 3000. This means you will be getting a car.
You can bug your salesman for updates or the GM chat online for updates but your car should be produced (and hopefully shipped)...
Nope, and I should add that if she wants to continue driving it she should just the drop the clutch at every downshift. It helps to eliminate the "thinking".
You do not need to let it out slowly, I always would drop it and shift as fast as possible, up shift or downshift and would never feel...
Fold the rear seats down. I had the same complaints. The Blackwings have to much sound deadening but folding the seats down fixes the issue. It sounds so good inside with it.
I got boned a little but I was willing to accept it because an MSRP Z07 with visible carbon is almost unobtainium at the moment and worth so much more over MSRP than what I didn't get in trade.
