CT4-V Blkwng - "Your order ... has not officially been accepted by GM at this time."

Seems odd that the "largest" Caddy in California wouldn't have an allocation in 4 months. 4 Blackwings are easy to get, if you haven't got an allocation in 4 months go to a different dealer. Sewell is great, ask for Dustin, they will absolutely have allocations or even one on the lot.

    What would you do?

Maybe, depends how I'm feeling but if its a commute in the AM I probably wouldn't have bothered. Might have given him some revs at the next traffic light though.

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

Manufacturer have to support a vehicle for like 7-10 years after production ends, I can't remember which. If you motor blows in two years of ownership it will be replaced, you have a 6 year powertrain warranty. If your scared of the LT4 going I don't want to know what else your considering that...

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

The engines are completely different. The LT6 has to be revved and is basically a race motor. If you don't rev it out you are not enjoying it. It literally doesn't start to make a good sound until 3.5k and it just gets better front there, the fun just starts, if you stop early its basically...

CT5V BW Cold Start Exhaust Sound

Set my mode to track exhaust and leave the car in my mode. Whenever you start it it will be loud, doesn't matter if its a 2022 or a 2025. I also implore you not to get the remote start because that implies the transmission that will retain less value..

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

This is very true. Its a great engine and a great platform and I didn't miss my manual transmission from my C7Z. However it makes all the power when you rev it and you have to drive it hard to enjoy it which means if you aren't at a race track you are risking your license. This is why I'm going...

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

I can't provide any feedback until Spring as its winter here and I can't drive the car. My '19 without Z07 was stiff but compliant but I haven't driven a Z07 C7 yet to give an opinion. I've owned a ZL1 1LE and that suspension is the stiffest I've ever owned so I will probably say Z07 is fine...

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

It's a 2016 C7.R edition so basically fully loaded. Corvette Racing Yellow Coupe manual 3LZ, Z07, exposed carbon fiber ground exposed, exposed carbon hood, comp seats, yellow calipers, yellow stitching etc. All part of the C7.R special edition package. I had a '19 C7Z that I missed, was...

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

I've been using a '24 Stingray Z51 HTC as my only vehicle for the last 7 months, it currently has winter tires on it. If your BW is auto and you don't need the backseats a C8 is a perfectly fine vehicle to consider. Its a great daily sports car, however in stock form it is incredibly quiet...

CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

Thats very odd its been deleted from '25 manuals. I'm assuming its because they have somehow integrated it into the super cruise which is standard on automatics and they didn't bother to make two different sensors. Honestly, shame on GM for this. They are keeping the manual alive but are now...

    Corsa Xtreme Exhaust issue

If its after the install get in touch with Corsa on how to fix the issues. Most likely something very simple.

Deal killer for getting ct5-v blackwing…winter set up?

I find it so difficult to put snows on a 5BW. I put snows on my SS 1LE last year and I have snows on my current C8 Stingray. However its difficult for me to put snows on a 5BW because I know the car is special and I don't want to ruin it with salt, brine etc. Unlike the Corvette the 5BW is...

    In a dilemma… Help.

I'd take a 2024 over a 2025 if I could get a deal. IMO the '24 looks better inside and out (better front end and no giant stuck on screen). The only thing the '25 offers that improves the car is the Precision Package but I think thats still on constraint. Therefore I would rather have a 2024 at...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

I did not. I signed one for my Z06 but not my Blackwing. I remember GM started to come out with these in 2023 but only for Z06s, Hummers and Escalade V's. Might be the dealers fault, I imagine if they aren't aware then there isn't anything to sign.

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

I never even singed a document to not resell my '23. You are correct that if you convert it the price is significantly cheaper by about 18k.

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

For all the Canadians out there, the Build and Price is finally up on Cadillac Canada. I hadn't been to the dealer to confirm pricing changes but the car is now over 7k more expensive. 112k.6k starting vs the 105.3k last year. Or about 22k more expensive than 2022. Options are the same price...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

Another reason to dislike giant screens. Apparently going beyond 12 inches of real estate means it's impossible to put a button in. Must be another law of thermodynamics or something.

    I'm a liar

The Vantage was available with a V12 6 speed stick shift in 2012, a bit later the Vantage was refreshed and the V12 came back in 2016 as an automatic only and a horsepower bump. In 2017 they brought the manual back as a 7 speed as a limited run car, I believe only 117 or so were built called...

    I'm a liar

My dream car is the big brother to this. A 2017 V12 Vantage S. NA V12 with a stick paired to one of the best looking sports cars. I wanted to buy the newer Vantage, they came out with a one model year manual transmission and then killed off the stick. I did not want the auto. I wasn't able to...

Owning a low volume production car can have its drawbacks...

Take a look at how long it takes to repair any vehicle. A low volume car is no different from a high volume. The manufacturer orders X amount of parts to fulfill new builds and should also keep a supply for repairs of existing vehicles. The percentage spread is the same, you wouldn't be any...
