Another casualty of the rodeo. Hope this wasn’t your EskyV.

I’m no expert, but from my understanding every material has its installation quirks and most small shop installers only have expertise in one type and hence only install that one.
I don’t have that many installers in my city, so I bought the installer more than I bought the PPF brand. No sense...
Do you live in an acid rain area?
Did they apply ceramic coating over the PPF? I have STEK DYNOshield and CQUARTZ on the front and CQUARTZ on the rest of the car and wheels/calipers. I use RESET when I detail. Almost 3 years in and no issues.
Bird shit is an another story. Gotta get that off...
My thought as well. Looks like it’s for tool access for a machining operation. But, it does leave a vulnerability. There are many other ways to plug that, looks like they went with the cheapest way possible. At a minimum they should have a retainer clip so that at worst it leaks but doesn’t blow...
I have a silicone sleeve on my iPhone and I get pretty sideways without any issues (friction is your friend). I have more problems with shit flying around in the trunk. The weather mat helps to some extent.
The Escort Redline 360c is a good one, assume that’s what you’re referring to. The Uniden R8 is as good or better. Really comes down to user interface and features.
