I know a lot of people hate on MT citing traffic, but I've driven in traffic for years with a MT and it doesn't bother me one bit. I'm like you, it's simple just to sit in neutral and ease into gear for a little forward progress. It's more footwork, but so is driving a stick in general.

In one comparison where some of us (including me) were considering, the Audi RS3 was 2 seconds faster than the CT4 BW. I wonder why the difference between the 2022 and 2023 CT4? Just different days, or auto vs. manual? We all know they are the same mechanically.
