Does A Radar Detector Help Anymore?

I am a big fan of using the WAZE App.

    Long Island good shops

Since our cars have close DNA to a Corvette. I would call Corvettes Unlimited in Babylon on Sunrise Highway and see if they can do any kinds of mods that you may want done. They have been there for years and do all years of Corvettes.

Long term reliability of the 5BW LT4 unmodified

My brother in law is currently driving a 2000 Chevy Tahoe. It is coming up on 600,000 miles ! It is a piece of garbage and all he does is keep throwing money into it to keep it running. The guy is a financial moron . He has 1.6 mil in his annuity and just retired after 40 years of union...

Long term reliability of the 5BW LT4 unmodified

1967 Cadillac deVille convertible. 204,000 miles plus. Yeah, the original engine and tranny have been rebuilt a couple of times. Only because they had alot miles over the years. Never rebuilt because of an issue. Bought new in 1967 for $5700.

Order new part from dealer or other vendor?

Even if its gouged, it can be fixed. They have special products just for that exact issue. Go talk to a body shop first. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Phoenix AZ Is Revving Up With More Blackwing Owners

I drove cross country and stopped in Arizona on my way to Vegas and California. My cousin lives in Gilbert, AZ. We stayed over in Chandler,AZ and I thought the place was beautiful. Everything there seems to be under 20 years old. I just could not take all that heat !

PSA or SGC and your experience? Baseball cards.

When I was 14 , my brother collected Topps cards. I remember he had a few Graig Nettles (Yankees) cards. They had spelled his name wrong "Craig" and they were supposed to be highly collectible. I always wondered if he still had them. I collect American coins and old paper currency. Mostly...

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

I haven't seen my 5BW in 3 months. I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms. 2 more months to go.

Order new part from dealer or other vendor?

Since its just black glossy paint, take it to a body shop. It most likely won't even be removed and they can repair it to look like new. Easy, one day job.

Jack Cooper Transport going out of business after almost 100 years

I just caught this story about Jack Cooper going under because Ford and GM decided to cancel their contracts with the auto transport company. When I was patiently waiting for my 2022 CT5-V BW to be delivered, during the goat rodeo days, you could actually call them and get a nice lady to tell...

    Victory Driven

If I wasn't able to get my 2022 5BW.....my second choice was to buy an XLR-V. Had a few in my sites. If I ever sell my Dodge Challenger, I still may pick one up.

    Victory Driven

Since the author lives here on Long Island, maybe I will run into him at a local car show and get it autographed. Should increase the value by a buck ! LOL !

New Book...."Victory Driven" Cadillac V-series by Andrew Nussbaum

I just received my edition of the book from Amazon today. It costs about $120 ! It is a very well made hardcover book. It also weight 5.25 pounds! Tonight after dinner I will commence with the reading. I think I bought the last one that was available . I will kick myself if I later see...

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

When I was driving home from Toronto, I was stuck in traffic right next the Ford Plant that builds the Aviator. Huge plant. I know that my Dodge Challenger was built in Brampton. My question is, what deals did Canada make with these huge car manufacturers to build their plants in Canada and...

General Advice for First Time 5BW Owners

Since i put my 5BW away every winter for about 5 months, when I take it out of storage, I have to take my time and re-learn everything. Every spring its like the day I first picked up the car at the dealership !

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

My family fixes high end cars for a Chinese importer. The guy's father is or was a Chinese CP General. He might be dead by now. This guy (Johnny) was one of the biggest importers in the US/Eastcoast. I think it was Reagan who came up with a "luxury tax" on cars, boats, planes and homes...

That was a good interview. When 60 Minutes shows up you usually end up looking bad. The power of editing what you see in the final release.

About to Order, Engine Failure Questions

I was up in Toronto a few weeks ago. Just Trumps mere threats of tariffs had the Canadian PM putting 900 more border agents. Threats seem to work.

    What would you do?

A sad ending story about fast cars, vanity plates and the police. When I was in the Police Academy, we had a class taught by a super experienced crash reconstruction Detective. He brought in a vanity plate that was bent up. The story went, that a young kid (18) with wealthy parents, bought...
