Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

Awesome. Now @Apex Wheels has a sale on 19" VS-5. Shopping for the most aggressive appearance possible.

Some pictures of the VS-5 on my 24 CT4V BW if it helps anyone. Went exactly with what Apex suggests, with 3mm spacers in the front.

wheels look great-- what type/brand of spacers do you run?

Looks perfect. Looks like the track width both front and rear has been widened a bit vs stock - front and rear look fairly close to flush - definitely a wider track than stock. can you confirm that's the case and no rubbing or handling issues? This is exactly the set up I am looking at and it looks like you got it perfect.

When you say you went with what Apex suggests do you mean the OEM+:

Front Wheel Size: 18x9" ET30Rear Wheel Size: 18x9.5” ET35

Or

Front Wheel Size: 18x9" ET30Rear Wheel Size: 18x10” ET42

Or Performance Street and Track:

Front Wheel Size: 18x9.5" ET22 Rear Wheel Size: 18x10” ET42

Can you list the wheel widths and offsets as I want to make sure I copy you exactly.

that is awesome -- I must have missed these when I picked up my set of VS-5RS.

Are you running extended threads for additional lug engagement? Or just rocking OEM??

link to longer studs:

I was told with only 3mm spacers, no need for extra long wheel studs or anything....If that is not true please someone let me know lol

I bought my Apex wheels last year through my wheel/tire shop - Radial Tire in Silver Spring MD (can't recommend them highly enough...aside from being track guys and knowing their stuff they gave me an additional discount on the wheels beyond the Apex sale price). They recommended and installed the 3mm spacers on the front and re-used the original lugs.

This is the same setup I am thinking of pulling the trigger on.

However I want these in satin bronze and they seem to not make the VS-5RS in the rear size in that color. They make it in the Sm-10RS though, is there a difference in these wheels other than just looks? The VS I think is the better looking wheel for sure. Secondly do the tire sizes need to change for the wider wheels or do they stretch the oem size onto them?
trying to decide if I want to go stock sizes in the wheels that I want with the color I want or the wider wheels in not quite my preferred wheel design. Is there much to be gained for traction with the added 1/2” of width? Or any change in handling with the wider front? I’ll only do maybe two trackday and hopefully a handful of auto cross days.

Any help would be appreciated. I have never really messed with wheels and tires on cars. Motorcycles are much easier.

OEM Spec tires are fine and fit. As far as what is BEST for track, I'd give the folks at spring mountain a call. There v-experience thing they tell you what tires/camber specs are best for track, and I'd trust them cause they have a lot of experience with these cars lol

Does anyone have pictures of an Anthracite finish Apex wheel on a Satin Steel 4BW or 5BW?

Thinking about pulling the trigger here, but I'm deadlocked on color choice... I'm overly concerned about the metallic grey tones not matching right.
