V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2011 CTS-V Wagon (M6) / 2025 CT5-V Blackwing M6 (86-137)
I've been super busy at work and haven't had time to properly document the issue I encountered in a new thread, yet.

For those of us lucky to have a 2025 CT5 Blackwing - there is a service bulletin posted today for ALL 2025 CT5 Blackwings to have the oil pan checked for a possible manufacturing defect. This document was shared with me this morning and my car has had the 'fix' completed. Still working with Cadillac service escalation team to hash out compensation, etc.

What is the bulletin number? Is it A252495390? TSB's normally follow a different naming schema.

The 'service update' A252495390 above is what I was provided by the dealer. If I get more details I will share here ASAP.

I had the issue actually happen to me. Picked up my BW in Texas on Wednesday, drove it home to Chicago on Thursday, took my kids to school Friday morning. Happened on the way to get it washed right after dropping them off. Super lucky not to have had it happen on the drive home.
First they told me the oil pan needed to be replaced but was on BO, so no clue when I'd have my car back. I heard from other sources was going to be at least April. Called every customer service number I could find but was never able to reach a human. Emailed Mark Reuss on Wednesday night, got back to me Thursday morning and had my car back on Tuesday. There's more to fill in but those are the main points.

What did your service receipt say? Did they replace the pan?

So many questions here...what actually happened? What did they do to resolve the issue? You have Mark Reuss' email??

I'll post the service stuff asked for above when I'm at my office.

I can tell you that initially I was told they were going to replace the oil pan but it was backordered with no idea when it'd be in stock.
The service manager didn't seem like he really cared to try to get my car back to me or the least bit understanding of the frustration I was feeling. Additionally, and understandable, I bought the car in Texas, I was at a dealership in Chicago. The dealer I bought the car from was trying from their end but didn't seem to be getting anywhere.
I called every customer service number I could find (I believe it was 6 total) and never spoke to a human.
Also, my brother who is in the leasing biz in Texas spoke to a contact at a different Cadillac store and was told I wouldn't see that oil pan until mid-April at least.
I was so frustrated and upset, I searched for C-suite emails within Cadillac and GM.
On Wednesday Feb 26, I sent the same email to the head of brand management (bounced back), the CEO of GM and the President. Never heard anything from Mary. The next morning, Thursday Feb 27, Mark emailed me back "On it.". About 30 min later I got a call from the Cadillac district manager. After that call I felt like people actually cared and were trying to get the car fixed and returned.
I'm skipping some stuff, but nothing crucial, just typing this on my phone isn't the most efficient for this novel. (Admittedly, what I'm leaving out is fun, and am happy to add later on my computer if people want to hear it...er, I mean read.)
I was told they were locating the supplier essentially getting the plant manager to pull a completed oil pan off the line and shipping it to the dealer.
Friday morning I got a call from the service manager at the dealer. He said the head of brand management (or some high level position I cannot remember exactly), and was told they had changed the protocol for this issue and were now repairing the oil pan and not replacing it.
The part needed for the fixed was ordered, received Tuesday morning and I had the car back Tuesday evening.
Also worth noting, they sent an engineer to work with the tech on the fix and inspect the entire car before returning to me.
Those are pretty much the important (and some not so important) points. Gotta run.

For what it's worth, my 5BW, which is due to be delivered by end of month, now has this bulletin attached to its record in the dealer system.

However, each week that passes, my delivery date seems to be get punted to a later week. So maybe this is all moot as I may never see the car. Lol.

Is it built? If not, when's it scheduled to be built?

It's been built for almost 2 months.

First delivery delay after being built was an "unnamed part".

Since end of Jan it's just been quoted delivery weeks that then slip, repeatedly.

Silver lining is maybe this oil plug part was caught and my receiving dealer now knows officially to address it.

Oh wow that's frustrating. The first one's built were delayed waiting for a software update that couldn't be done over the air. Mine was built in December and sat for 5 of 6 weeks I think.
But you're right, silver lining is the oil plug isn't a problem for you.
Hope you get it soon!

For what it's worth, I brought my car to a dealership today. They inspected it and find no issues with the plug.

I just joined this forum due to my experience in the paste few days with this.
I got my BW last month here in phoenix and have 488 miles on it. I was on my way home Saturday about 2 miles from my house on the highway and all of a sudden smoke pouring out of the back and the Oil warning alert popped up on the screen as it lost all of the oil.
I knew it didn't blow up because the engine didn't skip a beat. I searched the web and found your post here regarding this issue. Had it towed to the dealer but closed until Monday morning. My service adviser calls me Monday morning and says they probably can't look at it until today as they were busy. I told them wrong answer, you need to look at it ASAP. I found the email to Cadillac - ExecReferral@gm.com - and explained what happened and what they told me about fixing it. Not much longer after that, I received a call from my Advisor saying they are working on it and should be done by end of day. A few minutes later a rep from GM called me and he told me that he called my Advisor to see what's going on and basically told them they need to fix it. Long story but wanted you to get all this.

Qasmoke - I would still have them replace the oil plug.

chrishuy - What is the compensation you are working out with them?

They were still making sure all of the oil is cleaned from everywhere so will be ready this afternoon.

@BBenning .......that's a great way to start with 500 miles. Hope this works out and seems like you're getting great help from GM.

Congrats on your 5, and welcome fellow Arizonaian

Hopefully someone can post details on the specific plug in question, where it is, and what to check. When I first read this thread I was thinking it was the drain plug, but I gather now it's some sort of oil galley plug or similar.

Yup - eagerly awaiting a full print out of the TSB that includes the technical details

This is the picture they sent me. I will post more detail after I pick it up later today.
