I ordered a Blackwing over a month ago back in January with the precision package only because I wanted the firmer handling and super nice brakes. Not planning to track it don't call me crazy I just wanted the better "feel". Anyhow I contacted my salesman for an update 6 weeks into the process...
OK thanks for the stories. I downloaded Waze to keep up with the times and it saved me from one ticket possibly. I had a V1 years ago and it rang like crazy. You'd get used to it but it was annoying. Glad to see that the modern detectors have improved so much range wise they actually can be more...
Without giving too much info I live in the rust belt. Enforcement until lately has been almost nil. Cops are more worried about fentanyl and certain trademark cars the dealers have which is a short list, mostly hi performance mopar and riced out fart can specials. Lately they are definitely...
I have seen the radar detector thread so some drivers are obviously using them. I used to use one many years ago but stopped. While am a certified, card carrying leadfoot have managed to avoid tickets by driving smart with situational awareness, recognizing potential ambush spots (curves...
The only time she ever drove me nuts is with our most recent car purchase. She felt bad about having to slog around a minivan for 15 years and turning 50 this year wanted something "nice" or "fun" but as a non car nut she really doesn't understand what she wants. She loves the Corolla but...
Do you know how to heel/toe downshift? Look up the technique its a lot of fun but you can use a version to blip the throttle while your foot is on the brake to get the revs up a bit so when you actually get on the gas to start letting out the clutch, you're doing so from over 1000rpm, not very...
The plan changes. For a while I have been on the 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 plan. High earner so basically to live on 1/3 or less of my after tax income, invest (not save because cash doesn't beat inflation) 1/3 as if I will live another 50 years, and spend the last 1/3 as if I would live only another 50...
I had been toying with the idea of buying a GR Corolla and maybe a Supra for a couple years since the manual supra came out. 2024 was an amazing year for my fitness so I got crazy busy training and doing all kinds of insane outdoor adventures like never before. Also our old Minivan died with...
You can't get the Giulia in manual. I tried a few of the modern automatics and semi autos. Yes they are better on track and faster too but far less engaging and I don't like how they kick down with more than a little gas. With that logic then the EV is obviously best but in either case you can't...
Like I said fuck it. I ordered one. Was told to anticipate arrival in May or so.
I have my own political opinions but recognize everybody's got one, they're worth what you pay for them, and they all stink. So am keeping what I think to myself coz I don't care about the BIG BAD BULLY DEFECATED...
I went with Supra because of the better manual, because it has a more sparse interior. I like more Spartan and seat of the pants, something that drives and feels like a 1990's or 2000's car. Also I don't live convertibles and prefer the Supra styling.
