According to GM, the upcoming 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will be able to pull the highest lateral g-force ever seen from a production Cadillac
Earlier today, a member of our forums here at the Cadillac V-Net, received a call from Jeff Bratton, the Assistant Marketing Manager for Cadillac, in order to correct an issue with that member’s order.
During their discussion, Bratton pointed out that the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will have the highest lateral-g that they’ve ever seen from a production Cadillac. Right now, Cadillac has internal teams working on verifying the final numbers and enthusiasm for the all new CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models is through the roof at Cadillac.
This is great news as the V-Series Cadillacs have always been impressive luxury performance vehicles, but when compared to the competition, they’ve always seemed to fall short in one category or another in the eyes of the automotive media.
It’s pretty clear by now, that Cadillac has every intention of using these all new Blackwings to set the competition on notice and “take no prisoners” in the process.
Here at the Cadillac V-Net, we can’t wait to see what these new Blackwing models will be capable of once production models start rolling off the assembly line.
Production updates for the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing
Speaking of production, we have some updates!
Last Thursday, Blackwing orders finally started to progress in GM’s Order Workbench system hitting status codes 3000 and 3400 with some, receiving Targeted Production Week (TPW) dates starting on July 5th. However, today, we noticed that the orders at 3400 moved back to status code 3000.
According to Jeff Bratton at Cadillac, it’s not an issue for customers. Apparently, the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan that will be responsible for building the Blackwings, was conducting a training exercise to insure they had everything ready for the start of production next month.
Cadillac V-Performance Academy
One of the perks of purchasing a brand new Blackwing is that owners will be able to attend a 2-day training school at the V-Performance Academy at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club near Las Vegas. Ordinarily, this would set you back $2,500, but it’s free when you purchase a brand new Blackwing.
Bratton recommends that every Blackwing owner take advantage of this amazing opportunity in order to learn how to fully enjoy your new Blackwing and take advantage of its capability.
Given the news today about the CT4-V Blackwing’s handling prowess, we couldn’t agree more!
