Pristine 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon Sells for Record High $93,975

A couple weeks ago, a beautiful 2012 Cadillac CTS-V wagon with only 11,768 miles on the odometer appeared on Bring A Trailer. Well, the auction finally came to an end yesterday bringing an astounding $93,975 (including fees)!

The auction received 37,098 views and 26 bids, with the winning bid coming in at $89,500.

Dressed in Opulent Blue Metallic over Ebony leather and Alcantara, this V-wagon was listed for sale on the site by the original owner in Katy, Texas and is fully documented complete with service records.

This particular example is one of only 575 V-wagons built for 2012.  Unfortunately, Cadillac’s aren’t like Corvettes in that the Cadillac factory doesn’t keep detailed production records for their models.  That’s too bad, because it would be interesting to see how many Opulent Blue Metallic 2012 Cadillac CTS-V wagons were built.

Looking at the photos, the entire car, including the under-carriage looks exactly like it did the way it left the factory.  The car is absolutely impeccable!

However, as beautiful as it is, it’s not like this V-wagon has ultra low mileage.  Right now, most V-wagons are coming up for sale between $50,000 – $70,000 depending on miles.  According to the original window sticker, the MSRP for this one came in at $71,220.  So this one sold for more than $20,000 beyond what it originally sold for in 2012.

The comments by other Bring A Trailer users are interesting:

“This is such a beautiful car with so much character. Too bad Cadillac could not support it any longer. If they brought it to Europe it might have done well over there, since they are more into Esates than SUVs.”

“How dumb do I feel. Bought my manual wagon in 2013, and went with black. It was a coin flip and chose midnight metallic, versus blue. I have 23,000 miles now and live in the same zip code. That has to be a $20,000 dollar difference not going blue. Brilliant though to see wagons selling like this. These are a blast to own and drive.”

“Holy smokes! Love me a stick wagon and this one was absolute butta’… Got to see one in this color combo at the Texas Mile parked at the launch area….so sexy.”

“Thanks to everyone. I will sure miss this car.” —
