    Pressure Washing

When selecting a pressure washer for your cars, you want <=1,000psi. And usually around 2-2.5gpm Any more pressure and you are riding the edge of damage. At 1,500psi, you start blasting the coating/sealant off the paint. Above 2,500psi and you are removing clear coat. And FYI, psi and gpm are...

CT5-V What don't you like about your CT5-V Blackwing?

This may sound nuts... I had similar rattle...was 100% certain it was the top of the seat back or the head rest. Turned out it was the alcantara headliner that had come loose from a couple of clips right above the seat. Pressed them back into place and the rattle went away (and has not returned).

Disabling GM's ability to track my CT5V Blackwing

Did everyone just get the email that Smart Driver is being discontinued? We are reaching out to inform you that we are discontinuing the Smart Driver service on June 26, 2024. As a result, you will no longer be able to access the Smart Driver features in your myCadillac...

CT5-V Must have for track alignments

Did you just get the toe arms or also the eccentric lockout kit? I had both on my 1LE. Was happy with them.

What is everyone's go-to wheel cleaner??

Nothing but soap and water needed. Even after a track day. Takes me longer to clean out the bits of melted tire in the barrel than clean the wheel.

    PDR drives..lets see them.

    Sunday drives are the best...:D

    Pressure Washing

There is no better way to wash your car than to use a properly sorted pressure washer. You need one that hits the sweet spot for cars. These aren't the same systems you use to clean your deck or sidewalk. https://www.obsessedgarage.com/collections/pressure-washing Follow that link at your...

    CT4-V Blackwing Launch Control

I can't speak to the LF4, but the LT1/4 have always had a HUGE problem with low RPM launch bog. C7/6th Gen folks went nuts trying to fix the bog (cams, tunes, etc), but the best (cheap) solution was to launch at a higher RPM.

    CT5 BW CAI - Finally

I recall an interview with Mrza and another one of the V-Club TechTalks that the Caddy group was painstaking in their approach to Airbox and exhaust design. I think, as the aftermarket is discovering, the stock Airbox is really, really good.

Should I go with pilot sport cup2 or PS4S for my 19 inch wheels? On my ct4-v Blackwing

Maybe for street driving. Absolutely not for Track or AutoX. The TPC PS4S is a Sport Cup 2 hybrid.

eBay Center Screens (12.3") for CT4 - Anybody tried it?

Considering the agony one of our members went through trying to get the OEM CT5 screen to work in the CT4, I'd say the chances are zero. https://www.cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/retrofitting-ct5-display-in-ct4.3409/

    Stopping Epoxy Floor Tire Marks

Sealing is a bit more $ than epoxy coating, but I think it'll be worth it. In my climate, the sealant should be fine for 10 years without re-application. I am using a penetrating sealant, not a surface sealant. Mine will wind up with a matte finish. Then SwissTrax over the area where the cars...

    Stopping Epoxy Floor Tire Marks

21 years ago when our house was built, I went with tile in the garage. It has been incredible. It doesn't care about fluids, it cleans easily and hasn't chipped or cracked even with my wife's 4-door Jeep Wrangler Diesel. Took me a minute to find someone willing to do the job, but 20+ years...

New tire setup or tires for my ct4-v Blackwing for the track

As others have said…it’s the tires. It’s also your springs, but that’s a different conversation. You aren’t smarter than GM’s chassis engineers. They are some of the finest in the world. As for the TPC PS4S, it’s not the same tire you would buy from Tire Rack or Costco. The outer bands are...

    Brake fluid exchange procedure

Lights that are set as a result of a transient condition will reset after three on/off cycles. The code is still stored, but the light will go off. Battery disconnect is a must since these cars 'pre-initalize' when the key fob is in close proximity.

    Aftermarket Wheels for CT5-V Blackwing

I had those on my 1LE in black. That pic is 11” front, ET11, 11” rear ET35. Ran 305/30-19 RT660s.

100%. They already make the rears in bronze. Just need those fronts.

    Break in 6MT fluid change

Isn't that the truth! I rarely deviate from OEM fluids/filters/parts...when I do it's usually for a specific use case and after some time reading what is out there. I tend to over-service all of my and my family members cars also. Although I believe I service them at a reasonable interval. :D...
