This may sound nuts... I had similar rattle...was 100% certain it was the top of the seat back or the head rest. Turned out it was the alcantara headliner that had come loose from a couple of clips right above the seat. Pressed them back into place and the rattle went away (and has not returned).

Nothing but soap and water needed. Even after a track day. Takes me longer to clean out the bits of melted tire in the barrel than clean the wheel.

I can't speak to the LF4, but the LT1/4 have always had a HUGE problem with low RPM launch bog. C7/6th Gen folks went nuts trying to fix the bog (cams, tunes, etc), but the best (cheap) solution was to launch at a higher RPM.
