    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

Saw a black CT4 here is SW OH. Looked really nice but it was difficult to see the side vent to confirm if it was a 4BW.

CT4-V BLACKWING exhaust suite from AWE sign up

I signed up as well but I don't want to lose the OEM look or the ability to close the valves when I'm in my neighborhood.

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

The heavily discounted 4BWs are probably '23 special editions.

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

What is your plan? Are you buying it at MSRP and any discount is a bonus? Honestly with a 24; I bet you have a little difficulty getting anything significant under MSRP besides any discounts tied to financing.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I tried. The screw was in with blue threadlocker but even with the screw out; the medallion is still wedged in pretty good. I don't want to destroy the OEM knob.

I'm not sold on this yet. The CF knob is nice and has good weight. The medallion feels cheap and plasticky and obviously I need to do something with the Camaro emblem.

I'm the one who couldn't remove the medallion after unscrewing it. The other option is to scan the Camaro version that is readily available. I have a kid in Mech Eng and I asked him if he has access to a 3D scanner.

    I hate carfax

How did it run after the replacement? I can't afford a used German car; even more so one that is out of warranty.

Thant would be perfect place to carry over the number from your steering wheel.

I'd still be interested in a custom made medallion for the CF knob. Since Cadillac doesn't sell the medallion I was considering the one from the Camaro and just paining over the Camaro symbol and just leaving the shift pattern...

The weave is fine and looks great. The knob also has a good weight similar to the OEM.

yes. The screw had blue threadlocker so I assume there is something more holding the medallion on?

I'm not completely sold on the CF knob yet either. I vouldnt get the shift topper off the OEM shifter; I think it's glued in.

It takes a little more force than I was comfortable with but it finally budged. I would love to print a new knob top or buy a new one.
